Aubrey’s five-on-one staggered entry exhibition duel, added into the programme at the last minute, was non-traditionalist enough that it would cause a stir when it inevitably got back to his parents. Hopefully, the prestige of him handily wiping the floor with multiple opponents would reflect well and limit the inevitable punishment. As a secondary measure to this same end, on his best upper class behaviour, Aubrey circled amongst the reception guests, inwardly wishing he’d thought to sneak in something strong to drink.

The band had put on their best performance yet, especially with the help of Bolly's pyrotechnics. Blue was a little disapppointed they lost but ultimately he was happy for Sofie. How could he not be? "For what it's worth, it was a very close contest." Elena would personally have picked a more diverse group of judges than the heads of house, but you worked with what you had, she supposed. "There was a great deal of discussion and debate amongst the judges."
Sofie pretended not to be surprised she won but she was. She knew the dance she and Sylvie did to Unstoppable by Sia was pasiionate and emotive and you couldn't even tell they hated each other but still she was shocked. She didn't want to gloat so early in the evening so she positioned herself by one of the food tables and nibbled on a piece of cake waiting to be congratulated,
The raised stage of the auditorium wasn't the best for conducting vibration, even with the front seats they'd been kindly given, but Luc had enjoyed the visuals and what of the rest he could glean. (If he found the kid who'd given the weird alchemy demonstration, hopefully Mari would be able to translate, because Luc had a number of questions.) With the show over, he started looking around for Dae-Jung and his friends.
Luc hugs him back, then steps back to sign lunaire hurlement? literally and inquisitively - crescent fingers framing the face, dropping to the mouth and spreading high and wide.

"That was...an interesting display, McDonald," Blue greeted him. The magic was good and it was entertaining but Blue wasn't sure it was fair.

"Mr Grey." Elena smiled as his circuit of the room brought them into proximity. "Very professional work, well done."
