Does anyone know of a good, cheap or free, anti-virus/spyware program?

I ask mostly so I can tell Norton and it's $50-a-month renewal fees to fuck off on my new laptop.

AVG is what I usually use and it gets the job done for free. There are several other freeware ones on the list but I haven't had a chance to try them out.

And Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is my preferred spyware removal program at this time. Hopefully, that helps!

The ones crowbar mentioned are pretty good. I've started using Avira Antivir instead of AVG as of late and it's fairly good as well.
