Wow! Soon, on April 24th, it will be a year since lillyg and I started this little community! The first year of flashpoint_sru!
First off, we want to thank everyone who supported our tiny project and wrote so many, beautiful stories for everyone to enjoy. It's been a great ride!
This time, just like lillyg did when she managed the Secret Santa challenge (which came out great, by the way), I am going to take care of this very particular activity...
The game I'm offering you to play is very interesting and it allows everyone to write a bit of the stories to be posted. The idea is to follow the previous writer of your team and keep going!
The Basics
Sign-ups will provide teams for some (hopefully all) of the following teams:
Team Gen
Team Het
Team Slash
The story written by each member of each team will have to fit one of these categories in order to have 3 drabbles for each team:
Category #1 Action
Category #2 Romance
Category #3 Angst
Important!
1) You can sign up for a TEAM, but not for a specific category. Categories will be assigned to you when we announce the team members on April 12th.
2) You do not have to be a Livejournal user to sign up, as long as you leave a comment here saying that you want to participate and provide the information requested.
3) For all genres, each piece does not necessarily have to feature the same pairings or characters. Example:
Team Slash
Part #1: Romance, Greg/Ed
Part #2: Angst, Greg/Ed and Greg/Sam, or Greg/Ed and Sam/Spike
As long as the story follows the genre of your team, the pairings or characters can change according to your preferences.
How to Play
You will have from Monday April 12th to Monday May 3rd on to write a piece of the story. Each piece must have 300 to 1,000 words. Members can exchange general ideas but the point is to have little pieces of a story that makes sense but has no boundaries.
Schedule:
March 29th to April 9th: Sign-ups are open.
April 10th and 11th: Teams are organized. If any team does not have at least 3 members, we will ask for pinch-hitters at the last moment or ask writers to move to a different team.
April 12th: Team members are announced at flashpoint_sru. Each one is assigned a category.
April 12th: The first member of each team has until April 22nd to send paranoid_woman Part #1 of the story.
April 22ndth: The second member of each team receives Part #1 of the story and has until May 2nd to send paranoid_woman Part #2.
May 9th: The third member of each team receives Part #2 of the story and has until May 23rd to write Part #3 (last chapter) of the story.
May 4th, 5th and 6th: Complete stories are posted at flashpoint_sru by the authors for everyone to read them and enjoy them.
- May 4th (Friday): Chapter 1 of all teams is posted.
- May 5th (Saturday): Chapter 2 of all teams is posted.
- May 6th (Sunday): Chapter 3 of all teams is posted.
Important: This schedule can change depending on any extra days the authors might need to finish their part of the story.
