Hardcore trio Thoughts of Ionesco were formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1996. The band released five albums and disbanded in 2005.

Thoughts of Ionesco members went on to play in Alkaline Trio, The Holy Fire and Leaving Rouge.

Seventh Rule Recordings is a record label done by my brother and sister-in-law. They are releasing a TOI anthology, details

Alkaline Trio was, I think, the band that was playing last fall when I accidentally got too close to the edge of a mosh pit with LuLu. Very perilous, and I ended up getting bounced on my ass. It was great.
