Eeeek! My thumb hurts just thinking about it. I'll bet it will heal more quickly than you expect though since it'll be nice and regular. The BF cut himself with a similarly sharp blade a few weeks ago, and it actually healed in less than a week.

That is SUCH a relief to hear, and I hope that's what's going to happen. The cut is deep, but very clean, and all of the skin is still there. So....argh!

To be honest, it was my own stupid fault, and I should have known better. I was using half the machine for something it wasn't supposed to be used for, and I paid the price!

Perhaps you need a shark suit for future use of this appliance.

Also if you have it: Aloe vera juice. The kind squeezed directly out of the leaf. It has magical healing properties. And butterfly bandages to hold the cut together to avoid stitches.
