If it's a matter of security, I understand where they're coming on. However, this is taking things just far. He can't even tell you when he's coming back? :o

Man. If that were the States, that would not fly. Not at all.

At least, as far as I can figure. I know that members of the armed services are covered by the Uniform Code of Military Justice, but the ideas from the constitution carry over, as much as they can. Reading that, it seems like it's way too much of an imposition on the first amendment.

But then, this is the UK. What kind of protection for free speech do they have.

It sounds like they wanted to cover their butts, to prevent recorded evidence of things that they shouldn't be doing coming to the surface. I think a lot of the anti-war military blogs have really ticked them off.

Sigh.
