So I was up late the other night and watched Conan for the first time (ive heard positive things about it on lj). Not bad. Certainly 100000000 times better than David Letterman (omg I cannot watch that show! I keep giving it chances but I seriously can't see what’s so good about it/him. Its seriously the unfunniest show ever eurgh.) But anyway,

hahaha thats pretty amusing. You're totally right, it would be the same, but I guess its still kind of cool to say you had an 'original' even if it is the extact same... (you never know they could be different, maybe, probably not - I only say that because even though I see your logic, I still probably would go do something similar hahaha *facepalm*)

Being a native totally rocks, you just walk past starry-eyes tourists all "yeah thats right, while your all impressed, I'm so totally over it because I get to see this crap everday"

I have to second dorian_mauve on this one. Tourists are hilarious. I live near the ocean and seriously, these people don't understand that it's cold on the coast. They show up in shorts and tank tops and freeze their asses off the entire time they're here. It's hilarious.

We literally have a show here called "Bondi Rescue" which is basically just camera people following the lifeguards around at Bondi beach and filming them save drowning toursists that dont really understand the whole 'swin between the flags, the ocean is dangerous, we are an island and the currents aren't buffered by nearby countries and you will drown'
