Ok, so yes, very (very) recently I have become a little obsessed (I'm so intrigued!) with Marvel, and yes I have been geeking out over them all day. THEN one of my friends just reveals to me that there are DVDS I NEVER KNEW EXISTED of an old book series I used to love, and my day is totally made. I'm totally fangirling all over the place ( Read more... )

What Marvel DVDs and books are you interested in? Just curious - Marvel is a huge universe with many sub-universes - are you talking X-Men or Spiderman (those are the two I am mainly in to)or something else?

Wonder Woman - oh I had the best WW bathing suit as a kid, lol. I am not that big on DC, but Wonder Woman kicks ass. The invisible jet is kind of a stupid idea, but she is awesome.

This video game looks incredible - but the amount of squeeing I did when I clicked on it and I heard James Marsters voice talking to me - James as Lex is genius.

Oh yeah, I need more of that.

I'm pretty new to it all so I don't really have a particular 'sub-universe', except for the fact that I've ALWAYS loved the X-men, (the cartoons, the movies etc) and I just read a novel and several comics on Spider-Man (who I've always know about) and loved. (He’s so much snarkier and funny in the comics! :D) So basically the same as you haha \o ( ... )

I love that you are so geeked out about this. I don't do the comics as much as I did ten years ago, but it's always fun to have an excuse to revisit my Marvel days.

I always loved a smart alec man and I blame it on the fact that I read the Spiderman comics starting at age seven. So my major childhood crush on Spiderman probably has something to do with me loving a man with a smart motuh.

My cousin has the Civil War series, but I never managed to get my hands on it.

I have a few people I will read in DC, mainly Robin - I have a bunch of the mini-series comics. Wonder Women's invisible jet was just lame in the cartoons I watched as a kid - she would be sitting in the air and you could see her and not the jet (except that it was represented by dotted lines) and it looked stupid. It is a good idea but it makes for a lame visual. If they ever actually finish the movie version, I bet they will fnd a way to make it look cool ( ... )
