I'd go with options two. That way, you can see about getting someone you're comfortable with.

I'd go with 2 as well. My thought is that on the off chance there is something wrong or needs checking into you don't want to find out before you're covered by insurance.. I don't know how your new insurance treats 'preexisting conditions' but with only a month difference I would think avoiding that potential hassle would be a good idea. Plus most insurance allows one check per 12 month period and it might be good to get it done now.

Unless you have a reason to suspect something is wrong (in which case, the sooner you find out for sure, the better!), option 2 would be my choice. Sorry, but private doctors tend to take more time and have a nicer environment.
