There's been quite a bit of hubbub in the space community about the recently-released photos and videos of a test launch by Blue Origin, a private spaceflight company started by Amazon.com CEO Jeff Bezos.

I think you can only get away with a logo like that if you're actually successful. It smacks of hubris. Tongue-in-cheek hubris, but the rather staid Boeing and Lockmart logos can withstand a launch vehicle failure with a sort of grim resignation, while this thing would just look tragically silly.

I dunno if you knew oren at CMU, but he works at Blue Origin here in Seattle. They keep making him go to Texas for prolonged periods of time for these silly demo things, too.
