I got my enrolment letter for our (rather spiffy) USS pension scheme today. My official retirement date is 26th October 2049. In 14594 days, I won't have to work anymore. Except that they'll probably change the rules before then

Well, the crew are all getting a little old now. In the old days it was all Enterprise and Endeavour and whatnot. Nowadays the flagship is USS Horlicks, and Kirk is captain of the Curmudgeon

I plan to have taken over the world by then, and swapped to a 13 month year, so it'll actually be, um, let's say the 22nd of Petober.
