Tom Welling's Carson Daly Appearance
Like I even need to write up what happened after nerodi did such a fabulous job writing up the taping with proper use of exclamation points and everything!
What can I add but silly little atmospheric touches, like how the hot head writer - Jim (I remember him from the last time we were there, although this time he didn't come out to warm up the crowd), came by the line to beg for gum. One of the little Michelle Branch fans (no, she wasn't on the show but they mentioned her about fifty times in the twenty minutes we were standing behind them) hooked him up with a piece. I'd would have given him a piece, but not gum, if you know what I mean.
Yes, the seats were amazing - second row. Nerodi is convinced we were in the hot chick seating circle, and it's sort of difficult to disagree because all around us were nothing but really cute girls. Of course, we all know that Nerodi is a Really Cute Girl, so the theory has to hold some water.
The same stage manager that I raved about last time was there! His name is Joe and his number one fan was apparently there and shouted out "I love you Joe" and "I'm here for you Joe!". Shit like that makes me laugh.
Carson looked beat, so I'll cut him some slack on how lame the Jennifer Connelly interview came off. She's never been a big personality but she looked lovely and wore a really cute sweater. Plus, as nerodi pointed out, she had a baby four months ago and she has apparently bounced back into fine form.
Mr. Tom Welling, he's a tall man, with big hands and a good grip. At least he seemed to give Carson a good handshake because it kicked the interview into high gear. I have never seen TW so relaxed and charming. He talked about modeling and how he had too much energy to stand still and how he would start to talk and the photographers would tell him "Shh! Just look sexy." Now, the way he whispered the word "Sexy" was enough to justify me being there, I got to see Welling charm in action and it's a deadly thing. Carson asked him about the whole thing about the producers forbidding him to tan because they haven't figured out whether Kryptonians can tan yet. Tom said he hadn't heard about that but he joked that "What are they waiting on? A phone call from Krypton?" See!? He's funny! He talked about the meeting he had with Brett Ratner on the Superman movie and how in order for him to do it, the show would have to go away. He talked about working with Christopher Reeve. Carson mentioned how some famous people are huge Superman fans like Shaquille O'Neal, Joey Fatone and Jerry Seinfeld and asked if Tom had met any of them. Tom joked about not knowing who Joey Fatone was. He said that he did meet Shaquille O'Neal and that Shaq introduced Tom to his kids as Superman.
Tom looked perfect and I was very happy to see that he wore a shirt with a V neck because I have a thing for necks and he has a nice one.
So, in closing, TW is a really good looking guy and if you can see him give an interview - you should.
Oh! I forgot, on the elevator after the show, one of the Michelle Branch fans could not stop gushing about how hot Tom was. She said, "I'm going to have to start watching the show!".
