In a bid to stop my whinging about not having any friends in Perth, I took some action. I'm starting a dance class in Midland tomorrow night and I've been posting to some Perth community groups on LiveJournal, on dadi's advice. So far I've made one new friendie and who knows how many more will come about. Go Go Proactive Fleen

What dance class? I've been trying to decide whether to go back to dance, or ju jitsu. Don't ask :P

Orphean Arts (fitness and dance studio) I did belly dancing last night which was fun and actually legit. They also do hip hop on Thursday nights, classical ballet, tap, jazz and fitness/posture stuff. It's not organized particularly well but a lot of great artistic companies are a bit of a shambles when it comes to admin :-) It's cheap too - works out to about $6 a class, even casually (10-class punch cards). Hip hop is $10 a class.

hiya, added you back =o) My friend has done the opposite to you and moved from Perth to BrisVegas!

I worked in Midland for 8.5yrs and spent many a Saturday there in my teenage years. I know Midland (and surely, half it's residents) like the back of my hand!! Sad, i know! lol.

Hope ur settling in just fine and dandy. =o)
