The world was a vast valley filled with the beautiful white flowers from his dream. They swayed with the wind, without a care in the world for what was happening among them. Standing in the meadow was an armored woman and two others. Her motif was to wear that which was darkest: Black hair, black feathers in her helm, and black armor. Her gaze was intense, demanding that one obey her as opposed to anything else. Lezard saw his hands press to the fine crystal of a scrying orb, his eyes intent on the scene before him.
"...I am one of the three Goddesses of Destiny. My sisters and I control the transmigration of souls. It was my sister, Lenneth, who Odin chose to handle this realm... but now he had judged her to be unfit for the task," The dark goddess explained coldly.
"I can't accept that..." A swordsman standing before her growled.
"And, what do you intend to do?" The goddess asked, almost overly-sweetly, daring him to do something.
"I refuse to obey you!" The swordsman replied.
"Me too! If you had been the one to ask, I would never have joined you! Obey you!? You've GOT to be kidding!" A familiar blonde woman shouted.
"...I see." Before the goddess continued, she paused. Her hand lifted to her vision, and within the palm Lezard saw something glinting.
"An earring? I have no need of foolish trinkets." The token was thrown at the two, but the goddess's hand remained extended. A powerful burst of ethereal energy erupted from her palm, intending to destroy the stubborn two before her and the trinket.
From his end he could not hear it... the scream of despair in the meadow, but he did see the shape of the blue and gold-armored woman appear in the path of the goddess's attack. It was a shape he knew - Lily's shape - and there was no time for Lezard to react. The beam struck her, utterly obliterating her.
The black-armored goddess's hand lowered, eyes on the path of destruction. Where the blue-armored woman's body once stood were now small wisps of white light.
"Lenneth... So you are not yet fully asleep...?" She asked quietly. She then turned to the two stubborn spirits before her. Her cold smile had returned.
"Hmm. I suppose I will let you live. After all, there really is nowhere for you to go if you die anyway," she said, and with a ripple of energy she was gone. Lezard saw himself stand and begin to work his magic. Those two fools were just standing there... something had to be done and quickly! His body left the scrying orb's room, and shifted to the world of flowers, of night...
"--agments of Lenneth's soul! But they're starting the dissipate!" He heard the blonde's voice cry in alarm.
"What? Can't we do something!?" The man asked helplessly.
"...Mysty, freeze the atmosphere around them," he said calmly.
"That voice...!" He heard her reply. He was happy to see the woman turn and follow his command regardless, working a spell to freeze the wisps, combine them into one temporary vessel. A single white crystal floated before the woman when he finally reached the valley.
"Impressive." He finally reached the meadow. Mysty's face twisted into a scowl as she looked around.
"Lezard! What do you want!? Show yourself! Let's get this over with!" She snapped.
"Ancient magicks are difficult to command. These teleportation spells take such a ridiculously long time to cast..." And finally, he materialized in the meadow.
"There we go," he said with a grin. "Now, I assume you'll agree to a truce?"
He continued before she could complain further. "What's important now is that we save Valkyrie. At least we can all agree on that."
"Bastard!" Mysty spat, then paused, her face unsure. "But if you know a way to save her...?"
"Of course I do," he replied with a snicker. Why question genius? He looked over his shoulder, but before any more was said, everything faded to darkness.
