I did it! My pet orbital.
The story.
I DID IT! I didn't cry, I didn't flinch, I didn't wuss out. I had a knot in my stomach all day, but I still went after work and did it. I am so fucking rad and brave and cool.
There was a guy there at the same time who got his ACHILLES HEEL TATTOOED. Brave guy.
I went today and got my hexix orbital pierced. I thought I would cry because of the magnominousity of the neelde (a twelve guage). . .but the guy was nice. And he only charged me $40, which I thought was very fair, for two holes.
They're a half inch apart on my right ear and the hoops in right now are 14s. I'm gonna go back when it's healed and get one big ring in the two holes, so the ring will ORBIT (hence, orbital) my ear. It's going to be so fucking radass.
It felt like he was twisting the needle into the tube, instead of just pressing the two together. It was awesome. The adrenaline, the holding my head back for 10 minutes, the stress relief (ah, that's it?)...all wonderful. I felt dizzy when I stood up. It was wonderful. I'm so glad I did it.
I went to Rated R Tattoo and Piercing. My piercer's name was Jeremy. A+.
It's a little sore these days, I'm trying really hard to keep my hair off it, but it's not going so well. We went camping (bad idea, I know, but so fun!!) and I wore a shower cap in the lake! Hahaha.
