wen ur body rejects the metal, it starts to get thinner over the top and, shorter (that was the first thing i noticed) and seems harder underneath (im fairly sure youll notice when it starts so i wouldnt worry about that) that would be wen u take it out, lol, if you leave it in any longer the flesh over the top separates which is icky. hope that helped a little bit, now a question for you..... how much did it hurt?

as for the pain factor.. it really didn't hurt all that much.
my septum hurt 10x more
i also think that i was way too pumped for the actual bars to really care.
