I got an ashley piercing (inverse vertical labret) on wednesday. I was really looking forward to it but unfortunately it just wasn't what I pictured. my piercer (john joyce of scarab body arts) let me check the placement and everything but it was a poor judgement call on my part, because in the end it just wasn't what I wanted. that plus I've never ( Read more... )

I think the vertical labret would fit better for your lips. Even though it was totally centered, your lips are slighty assymetrical, so just centered on top, wasn't the perfect spot for you. But you have great lips for a lip piercing, anything else will look awesome!

You know, these are kind of unique... like VERY freakin unique. I have one and you are the only other person I've seen on the internet with one. Just out of curiosity, What guage did you use, and has the hole on the outer lip healed up to be less noticable? I hope so. The reason I got this one was simply because I thought that the pink part of the lip didn't scar up when you take out the piercing. I only have an 18 guage, so... yeah, hope that doesn't look too terrible later!

I think it looks good. I agree with you about the placement and the size. I am thinking about getting mine done. I would [like you said] get it higher and a smaller ball. How does it feel when its in? Is it awkward to have there?

Thanks for sharing your experiance, Ive honestly been considering this type of piercing, but after you made the comment about bitin down on the inner ball a couple of times I paused and was like "um, never mind I already have problems with chompin down on the ball of my tounge-ring from time-ta-time." Lol, I have TWO chipped teeth from my tongue-ring, I dont need or want anymore! Anyways thanks again for sharing. Ciao. (^_^)/
