Deep-fried Mars bars... has anyone ever tried one? Are they nice? On one hand, it's a deep-fried Mars bar. But on the other hand, it's a deep-fried Mars bar.

I have not, but all the legends say they are wonderful. And I can vouch for the glory of the deep fried Twinkie.

I have recently become somewhat enamoured of the idea, though common sense (and my waistline) is shouting BAD IDEA.

They're nice!

But very rich. One a year is plenty.

Hahaha! I think they sound overloading enough that even I possibly could stick to that kind of limit!

I've never tried one. And my stomach is turning just thinking about them! But then I don't like Mars bars...

I'm curious to hear what you think if you go for it!

They have that kind of double response in me. I do love Mars bars, so I am one up on you in that respect, but trying to imagine that kind of taste/texture combined with deep-frying is... baffling.

So, if you don't like Mars bars, what would be your chocolate bar of choice? Or are you just not a chocolate person?

I'm not really much of a chocolate person, but I do love a chocolate and pistachio nut bar that the Swiss Co-op make. It's just a long way to go for chocolate!

Swiss Co-op also make these lovely cereal granola biscuits that I am very fond of, but I agree that Switzerland is a long way to go for a biscuit or bar of chocolate. *g*

Yes! I have had one, and it was AMAZING. Seriously fantastic, but very sweet, very rich. If you get one be sure to have water on hand, it'll make you thirsty! :)

These are decisions for the next purchase. They have yet to be acquired.

Says the woman who will read the worst of badfic simply to feed her habit of Jensen-molestation?

I have a blue-grey bob, this is a long green-blue bob with a fringe. Completely different.
