Wow, crazy! (Doesn't "empty" usually mean you have a little bit left if absolutely necessary? Or were you at empty-empty?)
Congrats on the almost-Boeing! I have an interview with Deloitte Consulting too (Actuarial Analyst). I didn't get picked specifically but got a spot by lotterying for it.
I think empty usually does mean you have a little bit left but I didn't really want to chance that... and I was just afraid that I was going to run out of gas and be stuck by the side of the road! It would just be my luck.
Thanks for the congrats and Congrats to you too about your interview with Deloitte! I am scared about that because they are interviewing so many people from WashU for the same position and my interviewing skills aren't so hot. But, it will at least be practice for me... I am not all that keen to be traveling 4 days a week, every week.
Also -- they don't even recruit for Actuarial Analysts at WashU. I hadn't heard of the position until you told me about it.
Google for interviewing skills or check your career office if they have handouts on it. Basically, be yourself behave professionally. You will likely meet people who would work with you, so they have to like you as a person/colleague material too. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Some WashU people actually wrote up some stuff on math major career paths:

They probably come to NYU because of Stern though. I just pitch my Stern-like qualification and hope somebody likes it. ;)
My Deloitte interview is on Thursday, but I actually have a total of 6 interviews this week (all on-campus though). It's going to be crazy.
