Everyone at was on the news said how safe Dawson College was and that never would they expect something to happen there. What makes me feel sick inside is that despite living in our quiet sheltered South end haven, we must face the reality that there is no safety anymore. It was just so much easier being in my comfort zone. The police can only prevent and do so much - tragedy still strikes. God knows that even in Winnipeg there is so much more then you and I have never been exposed to. People still get hurt by people. And we want to think we're safe all the time but then I'll bet all those students felt really safe to. When they woke up yesterday morning their biggest concern was that pimple on their forehead... and now I feel so sorry for them that they have this senseless act to think about. It hurts my heart that they had to go through that
