Nope! I can't wear them either! I have a lazy eye and contacts could easily off-set it and then I would have problems than it's worth. XD

:D So, you're not alone!

Yay! We shall continue to push the "all my cosplays have the same eye color, right?" agenda.

I haven't tried yet, but I think I'm going to have the same problem. I'm going to try to finish a Lina Inverse outfit for next year's NDK and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have red eyes for it, like she does... but I dunno. It's so expensive to buy contacts, what if I couldn't use them? x.x And you're not supposed to just buy contacts, you're supposed to get sized, right? Hmmm. Is it really that dangerous to just wear them without getting sized I wonder?

Oh, and the people that I know that successfully do contacts practice... they wear them at home all the time, so they get used to it. x.x Sounds painful. XD

I've known plenty of folks who wore them without getting sized, but I'm not sure about the dangers involved. I just know that I wanted to scream and cry every time I tried to put in some contacts and couldn't!

I have a TERRIBLE time putting in contacts, if you see them in my photos it's from almost hours of messing around in getting them into my eyes lol I've also been blessed with good vision, which makes my ability of putting contacts in that of a cosplay retard. XD
My biggest problem with them comes from wearing them though, not putting them in or taking them off. After about an hour my eyes start to get really dry, itch, and my vision becomes cloudy/blurred, and I don't doubt that's from wearing $30 contacts and not the expensive ones that "breath" well, or my lack of using eye drops (with heavy makeup on, I'm afraid it would smear).

While I've never tried to use contacts before (though I'd really like colored contacts for several cosplays), I have an issue with them. I have bad allergies and my end tend to dry out a lot and get itchy, so with contacts in I could only imagine how annoying it would be. Maybe I'll finally be brave and try them and see how it affects my eyes one of these days.

I always wonder what a big deal contacts are, but then I see friends use them really successfully in photo shoots and I think, OH MAN I WANT THAT ALL.

AHHH I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!

I just can't keep my eye open long enough to put them in. I'm so blinky and my eyes get irritated. :( I went the doctor and got fitted and everything, and found I have astigmatism too. Everyone says its easy but I don't know if I can wear them. I even have lovely green trials waiting for me for my Sakura cosplay. I have issues even putting eyeliner underneath my eyes, so I don't know...
