It's a petition style list to show the G8 summit how many people care about this so that they might actually do something about the problem.

Scotland isn't a country according to the Live8 list, so I refuse to sign it. (also why aren't the millionare pop/rock stars involved in it giving up half their fortune each to help out? Woops, publicity stunt)
