This is so bizarre...I went through the same thing a couple of years ago...sitting in front of the phone book, wondering whether to call or not...except that I had genuinely been in love with the guy and it had all fallen apart in less than closure-like circumstances...but the realization that *their* life also went on...just like yours...that they're ten, twenty years older...just like you...in the end i really didn't want to see him...

but that line's perfect. LOL.

I'm glad you could relate to my story--but it must have been torture for you! It's so hard to be in love with someone, be so close, and then have it over. Really hard to compute. I always think of that Whitney Houston song, "Where Do Broken Hearts Go?" You know, that line, "once somebody loves you, don't they always love you?"
It takes a lot of wisdom to know that people move on with their lives & you obviously have that.
