CoCo consolation prize

It was very nice! I left feeling like the downsizing at home needs to continue. The simplicity of hotel suite living really struck me as freeing.

I'm a little worried about the "sticky" quality of shantung, but I LOVE the color and the embroidery pattern is one of the best I've seen in modern fabrics. I think version 1.0 will be without the gold lace trim so that I don't get bogged down with waiting to find the perfect trim.

I'm glad you had a enjoyable trip! Also linen gauze!!! Jealous!

It was over too soon! I could live forever in vacation mode. The linen gauze is pretty rough and crinkley. The V&A fabric was very coarse too, but more open-weave. I'm hoping if I wet the gauze and then iron it, that the crinkles will flatten out making the loose weave more discernible. Petticoats can be so heavy - I'm excited to try this for a VERY light-weight hoop.
