I completely forgot to comment after I read this last night. I'm easily distracted by the shiny.

I love Tim's quiet resolve, both with the work and with the interview.

You know that when it's toughest, he hearts Eric's voice in his head, 'Clear Eyes, Full Hearts'.

Good job with Johnathan's and Andy's 'voices'. They're a couple of distinct characters and you can't fudge it with them.

And I really do think Tim would flourish on a crab boat. He takes orders well, likes knowing just what's expected of him, likes having someone to follow but at the same time could turn into a solid deck boss.

Thank you! Glad it worked for you. I completely agree with Tim's suitability for a crab fishing boat. It makes perfect sense.

I purposely went with an outside POV on this one, but I like the idea of writing another one sometime from Tim's POV.
