Final update before the baby comes
It's 4.20am and I'm awake in the... Labour ward. Yes you heard me right.
To cut the story short, I was sent to do another detailed scan today and it revealed that I have reduced levels of amniotic fluid in the placenta, meaning baby might not be receiving sufficient nutrients, which explains his small gestational size :( Another danger of having ( Read more... ) -

finger-shopping goodness
Now that my brother-in-law is in Seattle for a month or so for work, we took the chance to order some *ahem* (okay, quite a bit) of clothing and accessories from Gap/Old Navy / Piperlime for the bubs :P

Twinges or first baby flutters?
I've been getting these twinges in my belly since yesterday and I'm starting to wonder if it's my tummy stretching... Or maybe, as what I've read on the Internet, possibly baby's first flutters :) I hope it's the latter!

dumpling goodness
I have always loved pan-fried dumplings or 'Wo tie' (in chinese). Nothing's better than some home-made ones! The 3 ladies of the household, my MIL, SIL and I spent our lazy Sunday afternoon making dumplings. It was good fun, a learning experience for me, and we thought they taste extra fresh and yummy compared to the commercial ones!

Chin Mee Chin on a lazy Sunday morning
We finally made our way to Chin Mee Chin coffeeshop at Katong AND had our breakfast there this morning, after much talk and a failed attempt to eat there last weekend due to the rain. I love toast, eggs and a nice cuppa kopi-c at the old-style traditional kopitiams. We have heard quite a bit about the place and I have been bugging the hub to try it ( Read more... )
