hi favourite new person! :D
Please, do read a story you like, but if you want, here are some things I like. :D
So we're matching in one of these fandoms:
- All for the Game: OMG, I love my Foxes, and I love Neil/Andrew, and I want them to be happy! I've discovered this fandom only recently and am so far more interested in close-to-canon stories. (Since canon includes things that I am usually iffy about - as for example, torture and rape - let it be known, that it is fine if things that happened in canon are mentioned, but I would prefer them to not happen in the fic.) I would also prefer characterisations close to canon - while I don't mind them being a bit softer (which might happen in the future), I don't see them suddenly becoming fluff bunnies. ;)
- Check, Please: I love Bitty and Jack! Ransom and Holster foreva! Lardo and Shitty are cool! The Frogs are adorable! And ooooh, Kent. Kent/OMC, Kent/Tater, Kent/Bitty/Jack - yay! Also gen Kent stories! Not so much into Jack/Kent on their own though. (Pairing fics! Gen! Baking! I love A LOT here. A LOT. )
- Georgette Heyer (all books): Sequels to books, prequels to books, time slices in books, it's all fine and loved! Gen, het or slash! (Just please don't simply ignore/break up canon pairings...)
- Harry Potter: I continue to being especially fond of Harry/Draco. (I continue to be the most original. :D) I do prefer stories that play after the war, eighth year or later. Can ignore the epilogue or not!
- Hockey RPF: My favourite pairing is Sid/Geno, but I also have a soft spot for Phil Kessel/Carl Hagelin, Sid/Geno/Ovi, and admittedly Sid/Giroux. *coughs* (Though in the latter case I'd be prefer Geno being either not in the picture, or being straight.)
I love hockey!stories, but I also really like non!hockey AUs. French-Canadian shenanigans are also always awesome! :D
- Inception: ALL the Arthur Eames. During canon, pre canon, post canon, complete AU. Love them.
- James Bond - Skyfall: Bond/Q or stories focused on Q. I like characterisations being closeish to canon, as in, they can be a bit softer and a bit more in touch with their emotions (looking at you, James! ...ok, probably also looking at Q.), but please no complete 180 there.
I am also very happy about AUs there!
I love happy endings, plot, pining, kidfic (either the characters having kids or them being/turned into kids), crime stories, Regency AUs, soulmate mark AUs, crossovers, competence, accidental/fake/arranged marriage, pretend to be dating, fairy tales, hurt/comfort, food, humour, banter and a lot more. Not necessarily all in one story! ;)
I prefer m/m and gen.
Things I'm hesitant about:
- torture
- BDSM that includes humiliation
- cheating
- dub-con/non-con
- sad endings
