ZOMG! I SAW ANTHONY RAPP & ADAM PASCAL LIVE!
GAHHHHH, Rent was AMAZING. And not just because of Anthony and Adam. This cast was just better than the one I saw 2 years ago.
Like I mentioned, this cast overall was just better. Better singing, better acting etc. I had a huge post planned out last night but I forgot most of it though so I'll just write a little bit.
I didn't want to like Nicolette Hart (Maureen) because I'd read some rumours and seen some negative stuff about her on the Broadway Secrets comm. but she blew me away! Her and her Joanne were probably the best Maureen & Joanne I've seen/heard. I kinda wish Eden Espinosa had been Maureen though.
And I actually cried at the end! It's the first time seeing a musical had made me cry. For some reason, this cast was better so I spent most of Act II holding back tears and then finally during Finale B, I had to let them out, lol. I've cried during the movie but when I saw it in grade 9, it wasn't as emotional as this cast made it. ♥ And I think I was a little sad that that's as close to seeing a show on Broadway that I'll get. At least for now. Who knows what'll happen in a few years.
BTW, I remember some secret on Broadway Secrets about Gwen Stewart, one of the ensemble members being underrated and she definitely is! Her solos during Seasons of Love and the I'll Cover You reprise blew me away!
So yeah, that's that. Back to rl now.
When I got home from the show last night I felt kinda weak and dizzy. I should've gone to bed but I still had american history homework to do. I should've just gone to bed though since only like six people in my class did the homework. So Ms. Hooke gave the class time to do it in class today. Ugh.
Anyway, I've been exhausted all day and I should probably take a nap but I don't feel like it. I think I'm getting sick. I feel super tired plus my throat hurts DX. I'm so happy that tomorrow is the biology field trip. It's probably gonna be really boring but w/e, at least it's not school. And tomorrow's friday! I definitely just feel like sleeping all weekend long.
Oh and I was supposed to have a world history test on Monday but my teacher wasn't prepared yet so it got pushed to a later date, yay! Now I don't have to study for it this weekend :)
