[Sup, Luceti. Katie's just doing what all little girls would naturally do in a rain of monsters, which is ...be out in the thick of it. Uh. Okay, maybe not. But in the light of certain reckless promises made some time ago, there are certain people she's desperately trying to find. She finds it kind of funny, actually - she really should have known ( Read more... )

[Zombies, bunnies with swords, hell hounds. What the hell ever. Hitsugaya has it covered. If they don't get out of his way quickly, then they are frozen quickly, because he's at full power and he's not the happiest shinigami in Luceti. He has a sword and he has his own dragon, thanks very much; he is definitely not afraid to use it. Gotta take it all out on something. Good thing there are things running around trying to eat brains.

He might spy a familiar girl who calls herself Alice -- or whatever name she's stuck on today -- and keep a close eye on her, if she comes within his line of sight.]

[She's certainly more focused than she usually is, and playing it safe-- we'll just avoid the bigger things, thank you-- but she is still certainly going where little girls fear to tread.

And in the face of a monster rain, her subtlety (such as it is) is right out the window. Though surely she's not responsible for the zombies just ahead of her apparently deciding to launch themselves into the sky. Screaming.]

[Oh, that's not coincidence. Can't be. Hitsugaya stops what he's doing -- which was, actually, moving toward her to take care of those things in her path -- and looks over at her with his sword resting over his shoulder.]

Oi. Girl.

[Just because it looks like she can throw zombies around doesn't mean he shouldn't at least check on her.]

[Turning at that with a bright look, which only fades a little when she realises you are not a Brook or a Katara.] Hello. Are you all right?

[The monster rain seems to be coming in waves now, and with Sokka's help Katara has worked out a schedule to make sure that she can go about the daily business of keeping everyone fed and sheltered along with kicking major demon ass. She is aided in this by her small, entourage. Having a giant dragon-like-thing trailing behind two zombie squirrels who are still jumpy about the dragon-like-thing despite being assured that he won't hurt them doesn't tend to make a girl inconspicuous ( ... )

[OMG KATARA YOU HAVE A DRAGON.

...oh, and some squirrels. But she wasn't really expecting to find Katara just hanging out and having lunch. Couldn't you at least have hte decency to be fighting for your life, Katara? ;; She had visions fo coming to your rescue and everything.

Okay, seriously - she's more relieved. And the sight of that food makes her hungry. ...also, dragon. She'll just be approaching and eyeing that with awe now.]

[And the dragon-thing is the first one to notice that something is coming, lifting its head and blowing out a stream of steam through its nostrils in a snort.

Katara feels the tug on her will that's binding the thing and she glances up over at the Leviathan and beyond.]

Katie! [A smile, some excited scrambling upwards, and Katara is coming towards you and putting a hand on your shoulder.] It's good to see you! I'm so glad you're all right.

[The Risky Squirrels start coming over too.]

[Giggling.] Oh, I'm fine. Though I had chicken pox this morning. [Oh hey, left field.]

Have you always had a dragon? [And if so, why have you never shown her? D:]

[So as it turns out, salt doesn't work on all zombies. Scary thought, isn't it? This may in fact explain why Katie has seen so little of Brook - he's been hiding from the monsters and zombies far more than usual.

But hey, there he is now! Don't mind him, just sneaking behind various objects as he goes. Apocalypse or no apocalypse - you gotta look for food.]

[Sup, Brook. Appearing without warning just behind you.]

There you are. I turn my back for one moment and you get eaten.

AIEE! [Heart attacks. Why the cause of so many, Katie?] Eaten?! I didn't see any goats!

[It's a hobby, don't you know.] Don't be silly. Goats don't eat skeletons.

...everything else does, though.

[Just outside the barracks, still well within the protection of the people who have been keeping the barracks safe for the triage and near enough to a door if a big monster arrives, Fenimore's already having enough trouble with one food thief. With Walter's help to ward off monsters, she'd managed to catch some fish to supplement the food reserves of the triage.

Her share, though, is already in danger of being stolen by a large furfur that has been following her around. She's holding the plate with the cooked piece of fish above her head as she tries to ward off the furfur with her foot.]

Find your own food! Do you even eat fish?

[...fish? You have fish. That actually gets her attention a little more than the furfur to begin with. For a second, she thinks Fenimore is addressing her with that remark-- and then she takes in the large ...oh wow. Small child is stopping in the road and gaping.]

[It takes Fenimore a few moments to notice her, but after hopping back on one foot, waving the other foot in warning at the fufur, she catches sight of the girl out of the corner of her eye.]

Oh, hey Shirley. [She sounds quite a bit calmer when addressing Katie than when she was addressing the furfur, which seems to be considering moving closer to Fenimore again despite Fenimore's warnings.]

[Passing the gaping stage and heading straight into delight now. That thing is cute. And overly large.]

Hello. What is that?

[...and can she steal your fish? >.>]
