[Katie's nose wrinkles as soon as she comes into the house. Porridge, porridge everywhere. It's with great trepidation that she approaches the kitchen and slinks through the doorway, and makes a fair bit of noise doing so-- to her mind, if she's ambushed by bear ninjas intend on defending their porridge, that's all the better. Then she doesn't have to eat the stuff.

Seven bowls? The look she gives Buffy is one of horrified fascination.]

You have to watch out with dwarves. [She edges closer to the bowls with a look that implies she's on her way to her own execution.] You mend one sock for them, and then suddenly they're underfoot all the time and they won't let you eat anything that's good for you.

...but for now, Katie will shiftily start glancing behind her, because bears, while awesome, generally only stalk little girls for a reason.

[Little girls aren't part of a healthy diet for a bear. At least not for this one, they are too cute and human and talkative and such to be healthy. The bear keeps following her, maybe making what seems like a happy sound when it notices her glancing behind her, don't mind the journal on its mouth it doesn't belong to an old victim.]

[Hijiri is upstairs in his room practicing his violin when he thinks he hears something or someone in the kitchen which is strange as he knows his housemates are out. He grabs a baseball bat and sneaks downstairs when he finds a little girl raiding his kitchen.]

Bear traps. There are lots of bears in the village today. They're stealing everyone's porridge.

[Alexis is coming home, bags in hand, and stepping a bit carefully; so far, nothing's happened to her, but the fact that something is afoot is rather plain to see. So she's not entirely surprised when she sees a girl sneaking into her apartment as she's coming up the hall. She'll just... sneak in a few moment's behind and clear her throat at the door.]
