ok, this article is ridiculously long, but it is also ridiculously disturbing and intriguing on a psychological level and thus deserves to be read. ¿que piensas?

Just like a woman )

I won't say I read it all, but some of what I did read was disgusting... the student whose parents bouhgt him a doll and it got DESTROYED! That was gross.

In any case, ew.

I read as far as the guy who douches his doll when I gave up.

Is that all that men really want? a fucking orifice?!?!?! It makes me so angry to think of what human interaction and need have been reduced to. It makes me even sadder to know that the first guy thinks of his doll as a girlfriend... what kind of fetishization has become culturally acceptible here?

Then again, if everyone goes around fucking plastic dolls, maybe the human race will discontinue procreating and then all of this crazy bullshit will end. Not that I want it to... it's just... if there's a way to pervert something even further than the already incredibly unimaginable perversions that already exist in the world, someone will always find a way to do it.

my initial reaction (and continuing on through much of the article) was that this was horrible. then again, i really do feel you can make an easily arguable case in favor of those who are disfigured or disabled. and when it comes down to it, i'd rather have people violently abuse a doll that looks like a woman than a woman who is a real woman. but i feel like giving the means to enact their fantasies is potentially a very dangerous slope. although i certainly agree with you on the procreation point.

Isn't that the whole argument for rape porn and the like? The thought behind it is if men are able to fulfill their fantasy's through pictures / movies they will have less of a drive to actually go out and commit the act ( ... )

I'm a pretty open-minded person, especially when it comes to sex and fetishes, and overall, I don't think that the dolls are necessarily a bad thing. I mean, yeah the guys who mutilated the dolls are creepy, but they're not the majority according to the article. The most disturbing part to me was the idea that some of them use their own hair to glue onto the dolls, and I am very surprised by the guys who do the makeup and change their clothes. I wouldn't think guys would care enough/be willing to put in the effort for all the bells and whistles, so to speak. I know Brett appreciates the effort I put it, but he would never be willing to do it himself. Most of these guys just seem like they have too much time on their hands, and are struggling, and develop a fixation/dependence on these dolls. They seem like they're those pathetic guys most girls wouldn't give the time of day and are socially awkward and rejected and this gives them an outlet, and frankly, I'd rather have the creepy guys at home with dolls than out hitting on women ( ... )
