You want to know something really6 stupid ? I was sitting here this morning thinking "Hmm, should go back there today to see if they were still having such great free eats". Of course the button would have to be worn. Then I smacked myself and asked what the hell I was thinking !

Maybe it's not ironic. Maybe they meant it in the sense of "Drink Responsibly." That is, be sure not to overindulge.

Yep. That is what it meant . But the ironic thing that had me laughing is that it was handed out by people demonstrating for the Kerrigold Cheese company on the weekend befor St Pat's day. You know the quintessential modern day belief that St Patricks day must be celebrated with vats of alcohol and perhaps some corned beef and cabbage( which is English , but besides the point). So they wind up at this Italian produce market for a demo. It's not a well known chain, local,and being Italian probably not a lot of competition.They hand out these buttons plus generous samples of their cheese. What they did not factor in is that this is an Italian market, and they celebrate St Josephs day. Unless you are in an Italian or Polish catholic community you have probably never heard of it, but if you are you realize it puts St Pat's day to shame. The custom for a St Josephs day table is food, food, food, food followed by pastry, pastry, pastry, pastry and then some pasta for good measure, just in case you have an inch of empty stomach left.
