Not that I had much to say these past weeks, but in case any one wonders why I don't post anything in the upcoming weeks: we are leaving for some well earned vacation on Saturday. For now, we only know that we are flying to New York. What we do after that (apart from the SO having to attend a conference next week) will be decided when we have

Sure you do (I'll probably write them when we wait for the flight home, but you are definitely on my list).

The car is still at the vendor. It still needs a polish and some other minor things and we are in no hurry. We will get it when we return.

Have fun! I hope the airport security situation doesn't give you too many hassles.

By the time you get back, I'll probably have gone on my holiday (the Alps and Dolomites area).

Airport security is such a weird thing. On the one hand, I don't want to be blown up, on the other, I don't want to be treated like a criminal. At the moment, I am more than willing to endure a little more hassle in favour of real security.
