Eh, I couldn't stand the black "bling" and Italian mafia "ba-da-bing" puns. I guess I'm just tired of black street ebonics. It's been beaten to death with the Hollywood stick.

yeah, i guess i got low tolerance for humor. but just wondering - do you have the same take on finding nemo? been asking around about that... it seems that people find shark's tale funny. but in a very hollow way. get it?

natawa ako sa shark's tale pero paglabas ng theater parang... parang... putangina ano yun? i thinking shark's tale had more substance... but i can't seem to reason out why.

I figure myself for a rather shallow person when it comes to humor. For some reason though Shark Tale's puns were way too rehashed and uninspired that even my babaw self felt irritated to the point of being insulted.

I found Finding Nemo quite charming. It's undoubtably directed at children, but it had rather mature themes...well, not exactly mature, but certainly more pervasive for any age group. Overprotectiveness of parents, rebellion, and the love of a father. The comedy wasn't brainy, but it's definitely more timeless than the pop culture reference-laden Shark Tale (though I didn't have a problem with Shrek 2).

And for the record, I was not comparing the two movies (Nemo and Tale) while in the cinema.
