Brett feels different - better, and with that come the "inappropriate feelings". I somehow don't think this domestic happiness can last. Brett may try to convince himself, but it's not enough.

Hmm, he does seem to be trying his best to ignore underlying issues here. Unfortunately a common enough occurrence in relationships--lack of communication!

He is staying in bed and lets a free man make coffee...he thinks about throwing a free man out of the apartment or spilling something on him... You know he was your well-behaved boy, my hopes were on him! He is BOUND to make some mistake and then he will be in trouble and then I will be somewhat mollified when he is groveling >:D >:D >:D!!! ;) :D

Lol, you KNOW that every time I read this sentence: "Brett debated possible ways to persuade Hathaway to leave, but neither throwing him out bodily nor spilling something on him, among other options, fell within the boundaries of proper slave etiquette." I would think of your certain outrage and smile. >:D

He is still well-behaved, OUTWARDLY. He can't help having some jealousy-driven thoughts! I mean if it were let's say, Alex, in this situation, he would have actually DONE one of the options Brett thought of! :D

Lol. How dare Amber hug slaves instead of beating them into submission? Is that the proper conduct towards slaves? :P And you noticed that mention of Ty, hmm? No detail slips past you. :P

What's this? I give myself an Internet-free weekend, and see what I've missed! A wonderful new chapter of "Scotch." It feels like this doesn't push the plot along so much as set some ideas into play. I'm looking forward to more, including poor, sweet Brett's jealousy when he sees Jenna in the gorgeous garment she'll be wearing to the party with Charlie.
