Unfortunately, a lot of it comes down to the age of many of these fans. They just don't know any better. It's frustrating, but I'm afraid it's impossible to really teach many of them the necessary tact without pressing a fast forward button on their maturation. I'm just glad our boys seem to understand that and haven't disowned us all yet :-/

I was talking about something kind of similar with my housemate, who's also into rps. just because we enjoy reading and writing stories with our images of these people, doesn't mean we think they are really like that.
we're much happier on our side of the fourth wall, and they're probably much happier on theirs.
