Sorry I couldn't make it, but glad to hear you had a great time. Um, did something happen that made it so you might not have been around for more birthdays? Is there a good story? I suppose I just need to be patient and wait for it.

Well, the short version of it, and it's pretty embarrassing, was that I almost choked to death. Seriously. Munching on a Triscuit with hummus (and not taking small bites, as Erika will no doubt lecture me again on) when someone made me laugh. It was pretty bad, actually. Jenn said my lips turned blue. Enrique did the Heimlich maneuver several times, and eventually I was able to breathe a little bit and then was okay. Twas quite scary, although it sounds pretty silly right now.

But yeah. That'll be a birthday party they don't soon forget.
