Desert Island Book Bag

If I was washed up on a deserted isle with nothing to read these are the books I wish I'd brought with me. This is not in any order because I can't choose between them.

1. Any of The Belgariad, Mallorean, The Elenium or The Tamuli by David  and Leigh Eddings. (I can't pick one out of them, they're all my favourites.)
2. Devil's Cub or ( Read more... )

Ow wow! I haven't read Althalus or Dreamers, I think I shyed away after reading the blurb. It didn't grab me but one day I'll have to try. I always loved Silk in the Belgariad and Kalten in the Elenium.

I haven't actually read Mercedes Lackey except for the above series :)

Hasn't everyone read Pern (Thanks for correcting the spelling of the Catteni because I couldn't be bothered getting off my rear end to check :))

Some of the others are historical romance because I've loved them since I read my first Heyer.

I would need the entire Belgariad/Mallorean. Can't just pick one either. :) I need to find more of the Eddings' books to read.

I know, I couldn't pick just one. I got the idea from my book store :D

I could agree with most of those - I'm sure that's not surprising! I actually haven't read The Catani series as yet (I'll get round to that, one day.) and I probably won't read 50 years of silence. I might add Anne McCaffrey's ship books - I tend to think in series not single books.

50 years of silence is very moving and I still cry reading it. I'm going to move the doco onto disc. (the doco came first)

I know but if I'm stuck on a desert island I don't want to be crying over a book.
