I've sent a pm to Nat asking if I could post a link to my lj on mrsrobinsonlove. I'm organising stuff for my cousin but the PTB are saying they don't have the distribution facilities to handle anything but monetary donations. (And given the state of the dollar, for every $10 Australian dollars, it's $6 US.)
You are also doing the only thing you can. Keeping mine and any other Australians spirits up. I appreciate it so much. *hugs*

Thank you for the offer but I think our quarantine laws (toughest in the world due to the island we live on) would prevent it.
But you and Nat ARE doing something. You're keeping my and any other Aussie you're aquainted with's spirits up when all I see (figuratively speaking) is death and destruction. It's in the newspapers and on the TV and I can't help but go online and checkout what the death toll is now. It's just surreal.

I know! That means I could contribute more. I got a bonus at the end of January, so I am pleased that I actually have some cash and was able to contribute a fair amount. Yup, cash in my pocket and I'm buying gifts and contributing to Defenders of Wildlife, Akron Children's Hospital, The Red Cross... It feels good to be able to have a few bucks to give. Now, I have to try to save some, pay some bills, and get study materials for the CIA.
