It's about Halle Berry working in a prison for mentally disturbed people - she wakes up in a cell one day with no recollection of the last 48 hours or something, and her colleague comes and tells her she's murdered her husband. There's possession, ghosts, snuff videos, rape, axe murders and all manner of pleasant* things.

Ah, that's what I'm missing in season six (currently the only one i have on dvd in manchester). It's funny, and it's cute and I love mulder and scully but it's not truly frightening like the early ones were. I love tooms.
