I hate football.

We're playing a gig tomorrow at Briton's Protection, together with Midland Railway, Car Crash TV and some other people I've never heard before. We're on about 8pm. Drew will be there, fresh from his trip to London to see the first stages of Wimbledon on my money, so that's a bonus isn't it.

I still hate football.

At least the football ended in rather a comical way.

I discovered the result as a free newspaper came through the door. The back page was all about how Wayne Rooney wasn't going to mess up his big chance in the world cup.

There should have been more fighting. I like it when a football match ends in a good scrap. All this sporting gentlemanly conduct lark is nonsense. Everyone needs a good headbutt now and then.
