You know, as a Yankee fan I've always kind of liked David Ortiz, aka "Big Papi," even when (as happened a lot) he was tattooing some pinstriped pitcher*. He was always smiling. Hell, he's still smiling a lot, he's just not hitting

Amazingly, I don't disagree with most of this -- including the knock on red sox fans. Fenway is not what it used to be and I find myself disappointed with the "fans" when I go there.

As for Papi, I thought Simmons did a great job capturing the feeling -- I think he gets put on the DL soon with something vague.
