*hugs* parents can sometimes be cruel and insensitive. I think that you need to tell him what you just told us. And then tell him that if he doesn't want to go only because of the rife between his wife and your mother, then he needs to leave the bitch at home.

Aww darling....I'm so sorry. I know what it's like to have a fucked up dysfunctional family. Just remember that it won't always be this way. Enjoy your time here before college as best as you can and he will be the one with the regrets when he realizes how wrong he is. I love you and don't you ever forget how loved you are by everyone. I know it's not the same but your friends will be there for you when things don't work out the way they should. I <3 YOU!!!
