i naively assume that the transition from lovers to friends will feel less awkward and become a bit easier with each passing week.  unfortunately, as with much of my life lately, things have not gone quite as i've predicted.  i knew that a friendship with jeremy was going to take quite a bit of effort and patience, but the struggle to remain

i try to remain friends with my ex's. but it never really works, we're nice to each other, polite, make conversation with each other, but we never call and make plans to hang out, it's when we happen to run into each other.

the one ex that has become a friend, took us two years of not talking to each other and not seeing each other before we could even attempt to be friends.

and sad to say, from my experience, if my instinct or gut feelings is that someone is fucking around, then they more than likely are.
