The back opens by pressing really hard down at the seam and pushing really hard out. It takes a lot of effort, but once you're in it's all really obvious.

thanks! I took it to the AT&T store and had them do it. :) Unfortunately it won't work for me. :( On the plus side, (at the recommendation of the guy at the att store) I went to target and got a 15$ go phone and I now haz phone again! Now I just need your number! :)

For numbers, the new phone you've got has a lot of memory - you can copy over from your old phone in stages - take one batch across, dump them to the new phone, make another trip with the card.

still can't get my old phone to turn on. :( Hopefully I will eventually.. but so far no go.
