I am contemplating taking a trip this summer out of the USA. I have to be back by July 11th, so that I can go to JJ's bridal shower. (being a bridesmaid, she'd smack me if I missed it).

I am not too fond of either tourists or insane heat, however I have been contemplating several trips to South America with Intrepid Travel. The following 3 trips

I'd reject them all and hit up either coastal Belize for jungle hiking and Mayan sites, or if you want to be well away from Mexico, the Peruvian highlands.
