YES!!!! We won the World Cup!!!!!!!!!! It was totally awesome here last night. I got champagne sprayed all over me and beer in my hair. I went home and took a shower, but I was mightily amused and entertained ( Read more... )

Dear Alice,
So nice to read about your trip via your journal. Sounds like you are having such a good time, really taking advantage of what's around you, really loving the art. Glad you are finding one or two people that you like. That's pretty much all you need, right? Plus, I think people like this come and go and won't be part of the lasting memories...but they might provide material for some funny stories.
Had a wonderful lunch today which your mom prepared. Emily was there too and so this was kind of a welcome home for her. Anyway, it was very nice. Well, lots of good wishes to you.
