[It's been a while since Lyon has had to actively worry about anything terrible happening to herself, the Prince, or any of her housemates or other friends from home. [Lyon's reflexes are as sharp as ever, and she whirls around to face Lan Fan as she makes herself known. Thankfully, her voice recognition is also up to par, so by the time she's looking at her visitor her sword is lowered off to the side.]

Hmm? Alchemy? No, that was rune magic.

[ Lan Fan walks around the perimeter of the barrier observing it. She's rather curious about this, while thinking about the possible links it may have to alkahestry and immortality.

Well, this one is a Shield Rune.

[Lyon holds forth her hand to let Lan Fan have a look at the softly glowing rune.]

It's mostly for healing and support. That field I put up raises the power of other magic used inside it.
