she's a sting in both sides, saying

open-eyed palms shut tight
to show both tears, now saying

just a touch of the very best

I shed one tear
for you each day

catch myself
in two places, then bend
and buckle at the waist

jelly legs and all
refreshed,

or just plain
weak and tired
