Web accessibility

As you probably know, I spend a lot of my spare time creating eBooks for Project GutenbergI've lately become interested in web accessibility, and in how we could make our books more usable by people with disabilities. Sometimes I really struggle to understand people. Why would people involved in that project be so unwilling to go to a bit of trouble to increase accessibility?

They are against it because it takes them out of their cosy, comfy little world where anything other than how they are is abnormal and something to avoid and deny.
